LOVE & TRUTH

LIVE LOVE IN TRUTH

We believe in genuine love and its beauty from God, who is Love and Truth.

To Live Love in Truth is a bold statementβ€”and it takes even more fortitude to defend it and actually live it in our world today.

Our inspiration for our tagline came from the words Pope St. John Paul II said of St. Edith Stein (St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross) in the homily for her canonization in 1998.

The Pope stated of St. Edith Stein, a brilliant philosopher and Carmelite nun who was martyred at Auschwitz, that she speaks to us:

"Do not accept anything as the truth if it lacks love. And do not accept anything as love which lacks truth! One without the other becomes a destructive lie."

WHAT IS LOVE?

LOVE IS A DECISION

At Amoris Jewelry, we celebrate love within family, friendship, courtship, engagement, and marriage.

Our mission is to show the world that true love is not based on a feeling; love is a decision.

"To love is to will the good of the other," St. Thomas Aquinas teaches.

As C.S. Lewis defines in The Four Loves, love is charity (agape), affection (storge), friendship (philia), and romantic (eros).

We often associate love with positive feelings and good relationships, but how much merit is there in loving someone who is easy to love or when things are going well?

We easily dismiss the other side of loveβ€”the authentic love that involves suffering for others and dying to selfβ€”that of Christ and the Cross.
Many seek a self-serving type of 'love' and fail to recognize how being virtuousβ€”loving, kind, merciful, and forgivingβ€”to those who terribly offend us comes from the grace of having greater charityβ€”greater love for God.

OUR MISSION

CHARITY & GRACE

We are a Catholic family from Canada inspired to create Amoris Jewelry to celebrate the virtue of charity (love) as a way to counter the confusingβ€”and often deceptiveβ€”messages about love and family life in our society.

More than ever, we need to help others to understand true love and to live the truth in these spiritually perilous times when many are accepting the world's deception of a disfigured 'love' and are turning away from the Church's teachings.

It appears that Sister Lucia’s prophetic words from Our Lady of Fatima are being fulfilled today:

"A time will come when the decisive battle between the kingdom of Christ and Satan will be over marriage and the family."

Many marriages today are under attack with husbands and wives not living true love and not understanding the sacrifices that it requires.

When loving a spouse is difficultβ€”and their safety is not endangeredβ€”the world tells them to avoid suffering instead of choosing sanctification.

They may lack the virtue of fortitude and fail to ask God for the graces to bring peace into their family.

It is a cross of suffering that increases sanctifying grace in their soul from the sacrament of marriage.

In Marriage: The Mystery of Faithful Love, Dietrich von Hildebrand reminds us of the unhappy marriage of St. Monica where, "the task in this special case consists primarily in sacrifice and renunciation and in care for the salvation of the other."

God does not give the grace of an ideal marriage to everyone.
The mission or "special call" which God gives the spouses may not be what they expected when they exchanged vows on their wedding day. Von Hildebrand continues:

β€œIt is, therefore, necessary to understand the particular meaning of each individual marriage, the special call which God makes upon the spouses: the realization of an ideal marriage or the heroic suffering of the cross of an unhappy marriage.”

CAPACITY FOR TRUE LOVE

'TO LOVE AT ALL IS TO BE VULNERABLE'

As a newborn baby boy trusts his mother and does not build a wall around his heart, we also must have complete trust in God.

C.S. Lewis explains that vulnerability is needed to be capable of giving and receiving love:

"There is no safe investment. To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal.

"Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness.

"But in that casketβ€”safe, dark, motionless, airlessβ€”it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable.
To Love At All is to Be Vulnerable

"The alternative to tragedy, or at least to the risk of tragedy, is damnation. The only place outside Heaven where you can be perfectly safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love is Hell."
We Prove Our Love With Suffering

CONFORMITY WITH GOD'S WILL

WE PROVE OUR LOVE WITH SUFFERING

Love without truth is a lie, and love without suffering is impossible.

C.S. Lewis' wise words profoundly reverberate in our hearts the conformity with God's will that we must all have:

"We shall draw nearer to God, not by trying to avoid the sufferings inherent in all loves, but by accepting them and offering them to Him; throwing away all defensive armour.

"If our hearts need to be broken, and if He chooses this as the way in which they should break, so be it."

We prove our love for God when we offer Him our suffering with loveβ€”but why?

St. Bernadette Soubirous, the visionary of Our Lady of Lourdes, answered this age-old question:
"Why must we suffer?

"Because here below pure love cannot exist without suffering."

CHARITY, THE QUEEN OF ALL VIRTUES

WITHOUT LOVE WE DO NOT PROFIT

With so many counterfeit versions of 'love' presented in our culture today due to hardness of heart and narcissism so prevalent, we believe it is important to highlight the eternal beauty of genuine love that we are all called to live no matter our title: husband or wife, mother or daughter, father or son, and friend.

Many great saints remind us that if our actions are done without love for God, we do not profit.

"Without love, deeds, even the most brilliant, count as nothing."
♑ St. Thérèse of Lisieux ♑

"Faith itself is only rendered profitable by love."
β™‘ St. Augustine of Hippo β™‘

These beautiful Doctors of the Church teach us that we must love God and our neighbour without measure!

'LET US LOVE'

WE ARE CALLED TO LOVE

We hope that our jewelry as gifts will be expressions of love and faith that will unite us all with your loved ones for weddings, engagements, anniversaries, birthdays, and all special occasions from near or afar.

May we live these words of St. Thérèse of Lisieux:

"I know of one means only by which to attain to perfection: LOVE.

"Let us love, since our heart is made for nothing else."

VIRGINI S.S. ROSARII DICATUM:
This Latin phrase translates to β€œDedicated to the Virgin of the Most Holy Rosary" and is inscribed on the faΓ§ade of the Pontifical Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary of Pompei in Italy.

During our first visit to Pompei this year, we photographed the majestic 3-meter marble statue of Our Lady of the Rosary atop the shrine.

Prominently displayed at the base of the statue is the inscription PAX, which is "Peace" in Latin.

We invite everyone to accept our Blessed Mother's call to pray the Rosary daily for peace within families and in the world.

OUR PATRON SAINT

SANCTA MONICA

Saint Monica, a patron saint of love, had immense love for God and her son, who became the great Saint Augustineβ€”a Doctor of the Churchβ€”for whom she prayed fervently for about 17 years before his conversion.

With her unhappy marriage to Patricius, she is the patron saint of difficult marriages and intercedes for all spouses who are heroically carrying their cross.

We received the special grace to visit Saint Monica's tomb at the Basilica di Sant'Agostino in Rome!

OUR PATRON SAINTS OF LOVE & FAMILY

At Amoris Jewelry, our mission is rooted in the belief that love is sacred, enduring, and always united with truth. As a faith-inspired jewelry brand, we look to holy examples of married love to guide and bless our work. Two married couplesβ€”both saintsβ€”stand as patrons of our mission, inspiring every piece we offer.
HOLY PARENTS OF OUR BLESSED MOTHER

Sancti Ioachim et Anna

Saint Joachim and Saint Anne, the grandparents of Jesus, knew the deep pain of longing for a child. For many years, they remained childless, enduring sorrow, ridicule, and even rejection from their community. Yet through it all, their faith in God never wavered. They continued to pray, to trust, and to live in righteousness, believing that His plan was greater than their suffering.

According to God's providential design, He answered their prayers in a way more glorious than they could have imaginedβ€”by blessing them with a daughter, the Blessed Virgin Mary, conceived without sin. The years of quiet sacrifice and steadfast faith bore fruit beyond measure. Their suffering became a treasury of grace, and their home became the cradle of the Mother of God.

Saint Anne is the patron saint of mothers, grandmothers, women in labor, marriages, and finding one's holy spouse. Amoris Jewelry is under the patronage of Saints Joachim and Anne.

HOLY MARRIED PATRON SAINTS

Sancti Ludovicus Martin et Sancta AzΓ©lia‑Maria GuΓ©rin Martin

Saints Louis and Zélie Martin, the parents of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, are the first ever married couple to be canonized together in 2015. They lived their marriage as a true vocation of love and holiness with their daily life marked by deep faith—attending Mass each day, praying together, fasting, and practicing acts of charity. God blessed them with nine children, four of whom died in childhood, while the remaining five all entered religious life.

Their canonization affirmed that holiness is found not only in the cloister but also in the homeβ€”witnessing the sanctity of marriage and the beauty of family as a path to heaven. Saints Louis and ZΓ©lie remind us that authentic love grows through sacrifice, prayer, and a shared devotion to God. They serve as heavenly intercessors for spouses, parents, and all who seek to live love in truth.
